Local Working Group Meetings
These meetings bring together producers, landowners, agencies, and community stakeholders to identify and prioritize natural resource concerns at the local level. The input gathered directly influences how conservation programs and funding are delivered within Daviess County. The Daviess County Local Working Group Meeting will take place June 9th, 2026, at the Green River Area Development District, 300 Gradd Way, Owensboro, KY 42301. Time 9:00am-12:00pm.
Scholarship Opportunities
The Daviess County Conservation District’s board is giving away 1-3 scholarships worth up to $1,000 each. Scholarships are available to graduating seniors that plan to study agriculture or a related field. Deadline is April 14, 2026. See the application below for more information.
Lime Spreader
The Daviess County Conservation District has partnered with the Daviess County High School FFA to purchase a lime spreader that can now be rented out. Cost is $100 per day. For more information or to rent, contact Craig Howard at (270) 499-0694.
